Lol no entry level privates don't get paid more than their civilian counterpart because if we talk about wage jobs, they work 11h daily + extra duties + field + 24h staff duty(with no limit on frequency). They are on call 24/7. Considering the hours they work, that totals to way less than FEDERAL required minimum wage. Salary-wise, by federal law, you have to earn $844 per week, or $40k per year to be exempt from overtime pay while privates get paid half of that.
